What kind of rice is Theingi?

Shwe Bo Paw San Hmway is the rice which won the World Best Rice Award in the World’s Rice Conference held in Ho Chi Min, Vietnam in 2011. Theingi Shwe Bo Rice Mill produces and distributes special quality Paw San Hmway rice which has the exactly same quality to the rice which won the World Best Rice Award.

Shwe Bo Paw San Hmway is grown in Shwe Bo Township, Shwe Bo District, Sagaing Region in Myanmar. The variety of this rice is called Bay Kyar. This rice variety has unusually good taste and soft texture.

The significant feature of Shwe Bo Paw San Hmway is that it can stay fresh long after cooking (not easy to go bad) and it increase volume after cooking. It is the variety which is low in glucose and high in fibre, so it is a very healthy rice variety. The most significant thing is that if the Shwe Bo variety is grown in the area rather than Shwe Bo, it does not have the same quality. It is because of the differences in soil and local climate. In Shwe Bo, Shwe Bo Paw San Hmway is the most popular and other variety like Ayar Min, Shwe Bo Ma Jan Daw, Shaw Bo Ma Naw (Khun Ni), 747, Mun Ayar, Pale Thwal, etc. are also grown.

Theingi Rice Mill produces Shwe Bo Paw San Hmway rice as the main product and also produces other high quality rice of various varieties.

When did Theingi start production?

Theingi Rice has been produced and distributed into the market since 2007. Now a day, Theingi has it's strong market for maintaining constant and best rice quality till today.

Why Theingi is the best for health?

Modern technology and international standard advanced machines are used for all the varieties of rice produced and distributed by Theingi to get high quality rice. Advanced rice colour sorters, rice cleaners, and destoners are installed to produce rice, which is free from impurities, sand and stones.

To ensure that all the rice produced by Theingi has high nutritional value, unnecessary overpolishing of rice to become white is minimized and special care is taken in processing not to lose the nutrients naturally contained in rice. Not only the rice produced by Theingi is highly nutritious, it can stored for a long time without reducing the quality because moisture meters are systematically used in the manufacturing process. Since only the freshly milled rice is distributed and sold in the market, sweet fragrance can be enjoyed when it is cooked.

What is the Logo of Theingi Mill?

There are three logos of Theingi Rice Mill:

1. English Text Logo with the word “Theingi" in green and yellow colours;

2. Myanmar Text Logo where the word "သိဂႌီ" in yellow colour with red colour lining and which is usually printed on rice bags and;

3. Image logo where green English letter "T" and yellow "G" are designed side by side as an abbreviation of Theingi and also include an image of an ear of paddy.

Note – Different varieties of rice produced are differentiated by Theingi logos and the different colours text printed on the rice bags.
All the Theingi Rice Mill logos are registered (registration number ..) in according with the Myanmar existing laws.
